There's no shared ALife curriculum yet

Most people who teach artificial life are doing it on their own. There are no common learning goals and few places to ask what has worked in someone else's classroom, whether that's an intro CS course, a simulation lab, high-school outreach, or an industry training program.

ALife-Edu started with a free virtual workshop in May 2026, held in two time zones. Sessions ranged from “Reaching (for) Critical Maths” to “Grading as it could be”, and participants drafted learning goals together in a brainwriting activity. We met again at ALIFE 2026 in Waterloo and now host monthly talks.

Anyone who teaches, or wants to teach, the principles of living systems is welcome. Come to an event, or find us on Discord and the mailing list through the community page.
